Catalog description:

 

Single speed, two pinion hand drill.  Frame made of malleable iron. Drive gear with extra wide rim. Three-jaw, spring-less chuck and adjustable from 0 to 3/16 inch. Black enameled frame, drive gear painted red; bright parts nickel plated.

 

Main handle made in Cocobolo with hollow space for bits storage.  Side handle in tropical hardwood stained with red mahogany.  Crank handle in Cocobolo.

Fully restored:

Drill was fully disassembled - gear, spindle, bearing, chuck, handles – all was taken apart. Cleaned, striped, frame and main gear re-painted and baked. Wood on all handles cleaned and sanded.  Main and crank handles treated with BLO 50/50 Turpentine, polished and waxed.  Side handle stained with red mahogany and painted with three layers of lacquer for final coating.  Greased, oiled, tuned and checked. Superb tool! Great addition to your toolbox or collection. Lovely Tool!
